Too many children are falling behind in reading, and once they do, catching up becomes harder every year. The Boston Literacy Project exists to change that. By providing evidence-based decodable books directly to classrooms in under-resourced schools, we help students build the foundational skills they need to read with confidence. Teachers know what their students need- we simply make sure those resources get into their hands, quickly and at no cost. With your support, we can close early literacy gaps before they become lifelong barriers.

"There are plenty of students in Boston who - for many different reasons like learning disabilities, being non-native English speakers, or having interrupted formal education - need foundational literacy instruction in second grade or beyond to shore up their reading skills. These books are the best tools to help them catch up." – Jeff Cipriani, 2nd Grade Teacher, Sarah Roberts Elementary
